Online stories - Fractious Fractions

SupportersAll of Mrs Fraction’s supporters considered giving another cheer but the Mathematical Magistrate glared at them threateningly.

He enjoyed the glaring threateningly (which the judge had also done in the film) but he was hoping to have the chance to shout, “SILENCE IN COURT!!!” again.

“What do you say to Mrs Fraction’s allegations, Mr Percentage?” the Mathematical Magistrate asked Mr Percentage.

“Well, I think percentages are much easier to imagine because all you have to do is imagine one number not two different ones. Look at the fractions Mrs Fraction used as examples, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/5. I think they’re much easier to imagine as 50%, 25% and 20%”.
