#### Puzzle of the Day

These puzzles are also printed in Eight days a week, a booklet published by the Association of Teachers of Mathematics.

1 x 1 = 1, 2 x 2 = 4, 3 x 3 = 9, etc. The numbers 1, 4, 9,16, 25, 36 etc. are called square numbers because you multiply a number by itself to find them. Can you make all the numbers from 2 to 100 by adding square numbers? e.g. 40 = 25 + 9 + 4 +1 +1.

Answer: all are possible
