The six strong Canadian team was selected from over 200,000 students. There were nearly 500 of the world's best math students from more than 80 countries competing in the event. The two exams that make up the competition are held over two days. Each exam consists of three questions and has a time limit of four-and-a-half hours. In this years competition, Canadian high school students won one Gold Medal, two silver, and two Bronze Medals. Next year's competition will be held in Slovenia.
